Sign in/Out

If you have selected Scanning as the Attendance Tracking  method for an In Person event, the Sign In/Out tab will become visible for each session offering CE credits.

Here you can set a time threshold for how long an attendee must be present in order to receive CE credits by dragging the slider bar and clicking Save Threshold Settings.

Assign a volunteer to scan attendees in and out by clicking the Add a Volunteer button, and enter the volunteer's name and email address. You can then email the volunteer a link which allows them to use their smart phone or a blue tooth connected 2D scanner to check attendees in and out. 

Opening the link on a smart phone allows the volunteer to turn their phone into a scanner or connect to a bluetooth 2D scanner, which can used to scan attendees in and out. This link will have three menu options: Scan In, Scan Out, and View Roster:

Using your Smart Phone Camera as a Scanner

Under  Scan In, select the Camera tab, the volunteer will hold the camera over the QR code displayed on the attendee's Attendee Dashboard or Badge, until they receive a notice that the attendee has successfully been signed in and the attendee's name and Sign In time will appear below.

After attendees are scanned in, volunteers can navigate back to the menu and select Scan Out, to sign attendees out after the session is over in the same way.

💡 if your browser settings are set to not allow your camera access, you'll need to go into your Smart Phone's browser settings to all your browser app to have camera access.

Using a Blue Tooth 2D Barcode Scanner 

Under Scan In, select the  Scanner tab. Follow the instructions that come with your scanner to pair the scanner with your device and to select scanning settings. Ensure the Scanner Input field has a blinking cursor. If not, select the field. 

Use the your scanner to scan the QR code displayed on the attendee's Attendee Dashboard or Badge. Text will appear in the Scanner Input field to indicate a badge is being scanned, and the attendee's Name and Sign In time will appear below. 

After attendees are scanned in, volunteers can navigate back to the menu and select  Scan Out, to sign attendees out after the session is over in the same way.

Manual Attendance Sign In and Editing Sign In/Out Times

If an attendee has lost their badge with QR code or does not have access to the QR code on their Attendee Dashboard, Volunteers can manually sign them them in by navigating to the View Roster tab, which displays all registered attendees for this session. Click on an attendees name to manually sign them in or out or see a history of all their sign in/out for that session.

Attendees who are scanned in long enough to meet the attendance threshold will be able to complete their Session Evaluation and receive CE credits for attending the session.
