Joining a Virtual Session as a Presenter

If your event includes any virtual sessions, make sure you understand how your presenters will be joining your Zoom based session. Use this guide as a quick reference for ensuring your presenters know how to join their virtual sessions. For more information regarding all virtual settings, see Virtual Session.

Joining as a Presenter via Email link

Presenters associated with a virtual session, can be sent an email with a link to join that Zoom based session. Click on the Join link in the email to join the Zoom based session.

Event organizers can automate these emails or send them on demand. They can also access the direct join links for their presenters through the CE-Go admin account. For more information on emailing presenters and accessing the direct join links, see Virtual Session.

Joining as Presenter via Attendee Dashboard

If the presenter is also enrolled as an attendee for this event using the same email address, they will receive access to an Attendee Dashboard. The Attendee Dashboard is the virtual hub of an event for event attendees. The presenter can simply join as a presenter from the link for their session from the Attendee Dashboard.

Joining a Zoom Webinar

if your session is set up as a Zoom based webinar, the webinar will launch in "practice mode."

In practice mode, attendees will enter into a waiting room, but presenters and host will be able to join the Zoom webinar. This gives the host and presenters time to check their settings, practice screen sharing, and make sure they are prepared before allowing attendees in, and starting the recording.

When you are ready to let attendees in and start recording, the host will click the Start Webinar button in your Zoom application to formally begin.

Joining a Zoom Meeting

If your session is set up as a Zoom based meeting, all attendees and presenters will be in a waiting room, and recording will begin automatically. The host will need to individually select presenters from the waiting room and allow them in to check settings and practice screen sharing before formally starting.

The host may also want to 'pause' recording until you formally being.

When the host is ready to formally begin, they can allow attendees in from the waiting room and resume recording if they have set it to "pause recording".
