Launching Your Virtual Session

If your event includes any virtual sessions, those sessions will be set up as Zoom meetings or Zoom webinars, and accessible via the Virtual Sessions tab found under Session Details. Use this guide as a quick reference for starting your Zoom based virtual session. For more information regarding all virtual settings, see Virtual Session.

1. Log into your CE-Go Account

To launch your virtual session, first log in to your CE-Go account using your login credentials at https://app.ce-go.com/login

2. Select the Event you intend to start

Navigate to the event with virtual sessions you wish to start. Click on the Event title to open up the Event Settings.

3. Navigate to the Virtual Session tab

For Multi-Session Events

If your event is a multi-session event (e.g. a conference or multi-day training), find the session you wish to start, and click View Details

Then click the Virtual Session tab.

For Single Session Events

If your event is a single session event, simply navigate to the Virtual Session tab.

4. Locate the Start link and launch the Zoom based session

The  Virtual Session tab contains all the Zoom based virtual session details and controls for that session, including the Start link.

The the owner of the CE-Go account is by default named the Host of the Zoom based session. The Zoom link to start the virtual session will become available to the host 45 minutes prior to the session's scheduled start time.

When you are ready to launch the meeting click the Start link. This will launch the Zoom based session with you as Host. Both links will work, but the Start Webinar Now (CE-Go) link is preferable.

Launching a Zoom Webinar

If your event is set up as a Zoom based webinar, the webinar will launch in "practice mode," and in your Zoom application you will see a notice that you are in a practice session.

In practice mode, your attendees will enter into a waiting room, but presenters will be able to join you in the Zoom webinar. This gives the host and presenters time to check their settings, practice screen sharing, and make sure they are prepared before allowing attendees in, and starting the recording.

When you are ready to let attendees in and start recording, click the Start Webinar button in your Zoom application to formally begin.

Launching a Zoom Meeting

If your event is set up as a Zoom based meeting ( what is the difference between a Zoom meeting and Zoom webinar?), and you've enabled the "Waiting Room" option at the bottom of Virtual Session, all attendees and presenters will be in a waiting room, and recording will begin automatically. You will need to individually select presenters from the waiting room and allow them in to check settings and practice screen sharing before formally starting.

You may also want to pause recording until you're ready to begin.

When you are ready to formally begin, allow your attendees in from the waiting room and resume recording if you have set it to "pause recording".
