Creating a Live Event
Once your CE-Go account has been set up, you'll be ready to Create a new Event. Events are synchronous educational activities, where attendees participate in real time.
To create a new event click the +Create New Event button.
In the setup wizard, you'll be prompted to enter certain Basic Details. Give your Event a name, select the Event type and format, and enter a description of the event. If you don't have a description, you can enter it later.
Event Types
- Conference type Events contain multiple sessions, usually over the course of a few consecutive days.
- Single type Events are no longer than one day long, and only have one session with a single set of learning objectives.
- Series type Events contain multiple sessions that take place over several non-consecutive days (e.g. a training event that meets once a week over the course of 8 weeks)
Event Formats
- In Person Events take place at a physical location where attendees are expected to be present on site for the Event.
- Virtual Events take place via Zoom, where attendees are expected to be logged in and online for during the Event. Zoom settings are managed from within the CE-Go event, after this initial set up.
- Hybrid Events allow attendees to attend either In Person or virtually.
After adding the Basic Details, follow the prompts to enter the Date and Time of your Event.
On the next page you'll enter your Venue information. Select a Venue from the drop down menu, or create a New Venue.
đź’ˇ Venues are tied to the time zone settings for your Event, so it is important to make sure your In Person and Virtual Venues are associated with the correct time zone. See Event Venues for more information.
Under Additional Info, you'll select your Disciplines.
đź’ˇAttendees are able to select their Disciplines (e.g. Nurse, Social Worker, Counselor, etc.) when they are obtaining their CE Certificates at the completion of an Event. By default they will also be offered an Other option, so they can write in their Discipline if theirs is not on the list.
đź’ˇOrganizations seeking co-sponsorship can check the Request Co-Sponsorship box to alert their account managers about this event.
Click Create to be taken to your newly created Event and begin customizing!
