Meta (Facebook) Pixel integration
Facebook Pixel Integration
The Facebook Pixel integration allows you to add your Meta (Facebook) Pixel ID to CE-Go, enabling page activity tracking within your Meta Ads account.
Before You Begin
You will need:
- A Meta Pixel ID from your Meta Business account
- Access to your CE-Go Organization Settings
Setup
- Navigate to Account > Organization Settings
- Select Global Analytics
- Locate the Facebook Pixel section
- Enter your Pixel ID
- Save your changes
Once saved, the Pixel ID will be applied across your organization's events and courses.
What Data Is Sent to Meta?
CE-Go currently sends only the standard PageView event to Meta.
This event fires when a visitor loads a page where the Facebook Pixel is installed, such as an event or course landing page. It allows Meta to report on:
- Page view counts
- Estimated visitor counts
- URLs of pages that were visited
- Basic browser and device information
- Traffic sources, including visits originating from Facebook and Instagram ads
- UTM campaign attribution data when UTM parameters are present
What Is Not Tracked?
The Facebook Pixel integration does not currently send conversion events. This means the following actions do not create a separate event in Facebook Pixel:
- Course purchases
- Event registrations (CompleteRegistration)
- Lead submissions
- Custom conversion events
Note: The "Track conversions from Facebook and Instagram ads" description refers to the general capabilities of Facebook Pixel. Tracking actual conversions would require additional conversion events to be configured and sent to Meta and this is not currently supported by the integration.
As a result, registration and purchase conversions will not automatically appear as Meta conversion events.
Viewing Data in Meta
After adding your Pixel ID, you can view collected PageView analytics within:
- Meta Events Manager
- Meta Business Suite reporting tools
While Meta can use PageView data to measure website traffic and ad performance, conversion-level reporting is not available without conversion events being sent.
Troubleshooting
My Pixel Is Not Receiving Data
Verify that:
- The Pixel ID entered in CE-Go matches the Pixel ID in Meta Events Manager
- The event or course page is published, not in draft
- Ad blockers or browser privacy settings are not blocking Meta Pixel requests
Why Don't I See Registration Conversions?
CE-Go currently only sends the standard PageView event to Meta. Registration and purchase conversions are not transmitted to Meta Pixel, so they will not appear in your Meta Ads conversion reporting.
If conversion tracking is important to your workflow, you would need to implement a custom tracking solution (such as Google Tag Manager or a custom integration) to send CompleteRegistration, Lead, or Purchase events to Meta separately.
